Only The Wind Can Call My Name

about

The beginning of this is the only song here that I didn't use an amplifier on, and that was for very good reason, this song is about a situation where there would not be things like electrical power and modern amenities.

lyrics

A raven sits perched at the crossroads
Where a wind blows through a scarlet sky
And on it carried a familiar whisper
That told me my flesh is a lie
Take me down to the town where there lives silence
Down where the rockets arrived
Where the wind blows dark and reaps the harvest
And I know I cannot die
In your arms where the children whimpered
Under your feet where the soil cries
The earth is solemn and heartbroken
Over a future that we despised
His sickle no longer hangs over
And has torn down the entire sky
And as God as my witness
I'd give anything to stop this genocide
Where he laughs for he has triumphed
It is his world now it is his prize
Our leaders are his loyal servants
His legacy their enterprise
Only the wind can call my name
On this earth where she cries
Where I'm not afraid of being alone
I always was I will survive
